skater of the country; he was 11 times
national champion of Romania. In 1993 he
placed 9th at world Championships and
also he was two times member of
Romanian Olympic Team as skater (1994-
Lillehammer-place 14, 1998-Nagano); now
he is the HEAD COACH of the National
Romanian Team.
From 1997 until 2004 he was one of the coaches
at Ice Castle International Training Center.
He is a young, sociable, energetic coach, who uses modern training methods. Being a good technician, he easily notices the weaknesses of each ice- skater; he corrects faulty elements, improves the individual technique and also keeps the personal mark of each figure-skater. Cornel Gheorghe and his skaters from Romanian team participated in the European and World Figure Skating Championships from 2004 until present; he was a member of the Romanian Olympic team as coach for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver 2010.
CORNELIA PAQUER, currently training
at the CHLP Luxemburg as HEAD COACH.
She use to train at Skating Bordeaux, and for two
years was the trainer of Braian Joubert at Poitiers .
She succeeds in communicating well with the
figure-skaters from the very beginning. She
improves the technical level of figure -skaters by
pointing at and fixing any detail which is not
performed as required.
MANUELA CRISTUDOR,
one of the most remarkable figure-skaters of the country.
She has been training in Brasov since 1984.
She continuously improved her training technique
taking part every year in ice-skating summer
camps. She is a good psychologist, succeeding in
leading the training lessonsprofessionally,
stimulating the self-improvement will of the ice-
skaters which she also reaches. Manuela Cristudor
and her team participated in the Junior World
Figure Skating Championships.
SORINA MLADIN has been choreographer of the
Romania National Figure -skating Team since 2000.
She also prepared choreographies for the figure-skaters of:
and knows the physical training needs of figure-skaters very
well. She was member of the Romanian National Team of
Artistic Gymnastics and many times national and
international champion. During the off-ice classes she accurate
the aesthetic body, develops the musical and artistic feels,
she combines elements from classic jazz, modern, street
dance with gym elements.
During training sessions she accurately develops those
physical qualities that are specific of figure-skating.
She adapts elements of ballet to the specific
of individual figure-skating, she insists on
posture, charisma, image and harmony
in figure-skaters’ movements.
The members of the training team have worked very well before, completing each other perfectly. Together they are functioning as a whole, optimally exploiting the figure-skaters’ resources. After each training stage they have managed to obtain a noticeable improvement of the pupil’s sports performance.
